The original Nussbaum Rubber Lift Pad, Ø 120 mm is used on the majority of Nussbaum two post vehicle lifts, including the SMART LIFT, POWER LIFT, 2.5 ATL, 2.30 SL, 2.32 SLE and 2.35 SL series. It has proven its reliability over decades of workshop use and remains the standard rubber lift pad supplied with many Nussbaum lifts.
Over the years, we have repeatedly received the following feedback from professional workshops.
Many workshops are looking for a flat Nussbaum rubber lift pad that simply slips over the original lift plate.
Why Choose a Flat Rubber Lift Pad?
The inspiration for the SOVW NUS came from a Lotus specialist workshop. On several Lotus models, the workshop discovered that the stepped geometry of the original Nussbaum rubber lift pad, which is raised around the outer edge and tapers towards the centre, does not provide optimal load distribution across the vehicle's sensitive lifting points.
Because the outer edge carries most of the load, the vehicle is not supported evenly across the entire lifting point. According to the workshop, this had already resulted in damage to several lifting points.
To create a flat contact surface, the technicians temporarily placed flat rubber pieces on top of the original lift pad. However, they knew this was neither a professional nor a permanently safe solution. Loose rubber inserts can move during lifting and should never be used on a lift arm or rubber lift pad of a two post vehicle lift.
The obvious solution was a rubber lift pad with a completely flat contact surface. Since Nussbaum lifts are widely used in workshops throughout Europe, we decided to develop exactly that.
The result is the SOVW NUS, a flat rubber lift pad specifically designed for Nussbaum two post vehicle lifts.
The feedback from the Lotus workshop was clear. The lift pad fits perfectly and has proven itself in everyday workshop use. Vehicles can now be lifted directly on the rubber pad without additional inserts while ensuring an even contact surface.
We are convinced that this is not an isolated case and that the same lifting issue affects more than just Lotus vehicles. Whenever a vehicle has delicate or unusual lifting points, a flat Nussbaum rubber lift pad can be the better solution.
More Benefits of the SOVW NUS
Slip On Instead of Screwing On. No More Rusted Screws.
The SOVW NUS simply slips onto the lift plate. No screws are required.
This makes replacement quick and easy while eliminating problems with seized or corroded screws. Once the lift pad is worn, it can simply be removed and replaced without tools.
Ideal for Electric Vehicles
The SOVW NUS does not require any metal screws or inserts. This means there is no metallic connection between the vehicle and the lift through the rubber pad.
For workshops servicing a growing number of electric vehicles, this is an attractive alternative.
Lower Profile Design
Compared to the original rubber lift pad, the SOVW NUS is several millimetres lower. This makes it especially suitable for sports cars, lowered vehicles and applications where a flat contact surface is required.
High Performance Rubber Compound
The SOVW NUS is manufactured from the proven BÖCK High Performance Rubber Compound. It offers excellent wear resistance and a long service life, even under demanding daily workshop conditions.
